Toddler throwing tantrums
Hello, I am wondering what my wife and I can do regarding my toddler throwing things when she hears the word no or we stop her from doing something that we do not want her to do. For example, we told her to stop coloring on the wall. She then throws her crayon and swipes the other crayons and cries. We tried explaining it…

Twins sleeping question- 2 YO
My 2 year old twins are different sleepers. They both go to bed around 7/7:15 and nap 12:30-3:30 (a lot of the times my son wakes around 2:45 but I keep him in there bc my daughters sleeping). But my sob has been waking up around 6/6:15am and takes forever to go to bed (8/9pm) while my daughter can sleep forever (I usually…

Early morning waking for 16 mo old
Hi, our 16 month old consistently wakes up around 4:30 every morning. We have tried adjusting bedtimes and it does not affect wakings. She is on two naps - since she gets up so early one nap has been difficult. She eats three full meals, room is comfortable and dark. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Sleep data access as file
First of all nanit is amazing. Thanks for the device. First time personally i see human pose estimation and facial recognition put to real world use case (hope nanit gives more importance to privacy for data used in training). I am a data scientist and would love to visualize my child's sleep data with other tools. Can we…

My one year old princess is shoving food in her mouth and choking
So my baby girl turned 1 March 3rd, with that being said doesn't anyone else have any experience with their toddler eating too fast and choking? My baby girl seems like she's starving all the time and will shove food in her mouth the minute it's in front of her so I have to give her one tiny piece at a time she has choked…

Teething and sleep- help!
Our almost 6 month old is almost definitely teething. He is generally ok during the day and all about Sophie (I get it now!), but he's really struggling to fall and stay asleep. I'm just starting to feel a tooth breaking through. We're using Tylenol sparingly, but I don't want to overdo it. Has anyone cracked the code on…

12 weeks and now refuses tummy time
My baby used to be so good on her tummy. Preferred it actually! Then we went on a trip where there was no good space for it. Since coming home she refuses tummy time. I use toys, music, even cartoons! She just cries. I don’t want this to be a stress trigger for her. How should I handle this??

Do babies lose skill of putting themselves back to sleep?
Hello, my son was sleep trained using a modified Ferber method (takingcarababies program). He slept well for several months. He is now 12 months old and may have gone through a ‘regression’ but I’m not sure. He now is breastfed back to sleep every time he wakes up through the night after trying to pat him back to sleep,…

Grunting
Does anyone have a SUPER grungy baby when she sleeps at night? Our baby girl is so loud and sounds so uncomfortable at least half of the night. Pediatrician says she should grow out of it but I would love to hear from others with this experience.

5 month sleep regression / sleep issues?
Hi all - does anyone else have a 5 month old (5 months and 11 days to be exact) who is all of a sudden struggling awful with sleep? She’ll go down for her normal 6:30/7:30 bedtime and I usually dream feed her around 9:30 - but she’s been waking up about 8:30 and is so hard to get back down. Almost every time I put her back…

9 month regression
We sleep trained our baby around five months to help with night disturbances. We didn’t follow it perfectly every night but overall had success with putting her down and getting her back to sleep. She will be ten months in one week and now has a complete meltdown when we put her in the crib. We stopped rocking her to sleep…

💬 Parent Like a Pro AMA | Ask a pediatrician anything about baby’s growth and development
Event Recap - Top Q&A Q: I want to feed my little one more veggies. Should I worry about vegetables causing gassiness? Are there some vegetables that cause less gas than others? A: I would legitimately not worry about this too much. Although some foods can cause gas, babies handle things better than you think, and some of…

8 month regression and sleep training
Our 8-month old was sleeping well on his own in the crib. Cried for a couple minutes but would fall asleep on his own. Would make it until 7am. We did the Ferber method when sleep training. The last two nights, he refuses to sleep on his own and when he wakes up, he refuses to go back to sleep. We tried everything…
