Machine charging port overheating

This morning my sound and light machine cut out as I was putting baby back in the bassinet. I went to plug it in since I figured it'd need charging soon. It just flashed the word APP on the clock display and I unplugged it to take a better look and almost burned myself on the charger it had gotten
