White noise decibel level

When I put the white noise to max with my nanit pro and floor stand above the crib the db(a) rating gets close to 80. Any concerns around max volume on white noise for my newborn? I typically reduce it once they go to sleep or turn it off

    Hi @Binarytrees12,

    Thanks for posting on the community. When the Nanit camera is positioned correctly relative to the crib, the maximum volume is 55dBspl at full volume and 22.5dBspl at 50% volume.

    If the white noise decibel on your Nanit camera is reaching higher than 55dBspl, please power cycle your camera by removing the camera from the stand and unplugging it from the wall for about five minutes. Then re-attach the camera back on the stand and let it boot back up.

  • Hi, when I measure using a sound device I consistently see 70db(a) at the crib level at max.

    maybe it’s a difference of measuring units.

    @Binarytrees12,

    I've created a ticket for the support team to look into this further where your sound device is showing 70db(a). They'll reach out to your ticket via email after they finish reviewing your ticket.
