Nanit camera not working out of the box

Hello all,

I purchased two Nanit floor cameras for myself and wife and her mom. By the luck of the draw her mother received what looks to be a defective model.

Went to set up the Nanit and the camera would not turn on. Not feeling of heat indicating power to the camera. There had been work done to the nursery so I checked the outlets and they all work. Plugged in a 60v machine and it ran perfectly fine.
