how to adjust temperature range

I keep receiving temperature-out-of-range notifications. The stated temperature is correct, but the message is useless. I am happy with the actual (and reported) temperature. How do I adjust the temperature range setting so I don't get these unhelpful messages? Searching your HELP for temperature range setting or adjusment yields nothing relevant. Your HELP is useless.
