Nanit picks up sound 24/7 around the house

The Nanit picks up crying and sounds from around the house. It’s in a bedroom upstairs and it gives me notifications when our baby cries downstairs. It’s a hassle to turn off and on the camera in the app to avoid this. Is there a physical button to do this?
