Static Noise - iPhone vs android

I have an iPhone, while my husband has an android, and our sounds are completely different! I have this loud, unbearable, staticky noise in the background with my volume at 1/3, while my husband’s is at full volume and it sounds like white noise. Anyone else having this issue? How do I resolve it? This is the first time it’s
