Nanit microphone won't connect

The microphone on the app keeps saying failed connection, try to uninstall, disconnect from internet etc, reinstalled however no luck.

I have an android. I saw posts about this from March, would have hoped that this issue would have been resolved by now. Appreciate any guidance because I don't know what to do.
