Cannot use camera without monthly subscription

I just bought our second Nanit, the first must have been purchased before a monthly subscription was introduced.

Upon adding the camera, any time I try to access it within the app I’m greeted with “One last step… activate camera”, which leads to the subscriptions page.

I feel completely bait and switched here. What am I even supposed to do with this $200 baby camera and why is it not COMPLETELY clear on your website that this is the experience if you don’t pay a monthly fee? What a **** company.
