Not receiving motion alerts

whenever I go to pick up my baby or put him back I receive a motion alert but when he is moving around in the crib I don’t receive one. I only happened to wake up to hear him in the crib because I got a sound notification and I heard him with the audio on, otherwise I wouldn’t have
