5 month old baby waking daily at 3AM

RBanks Member

Hello- My 5 month old baby is still requiring night feeds and wakes daily at 3AM. our pediatrician confirmed that based on his growth and development he should be sleeping with 0-1 night feedings. We have sleep trained him to fall asleep at night iafter being put down drowsy. He is taking about 3 naps all under 1 hour during the day. He is heading to bed daily between 7:30 and 8:00. He is waking up and wanting a feeding at 1:00AM then waking to a fully awake state at 3AM. Any suggestions to get him to remain sleep through the night?

    Hi @RBanks,

It sounds like he is doing GREAT! Lots of babies are fulling awake in the early hours of the morning. If he's happy, I would leave him to work out how to get himself back to sleep. He shouldn't need to feed again if he just ate at 1am.
