@Lauralye77 OMG! She sounds PERFECT! What a dream! For tomorrow, please dont wake her, let her wake naturally! Actually, unless you HAVE to wake her for daycare, Id love you to leave her to wake naturally every day!

@J_and_M This all sounds really normal! You are doing great! Hang in there! At this stage, I just want you to focus on feedin her every 2-3 hours during the day (with some cluster feedings being normal) and hopefully you will start to see a longer stretch of sleep start to emerge at the beginning of the night soon! This is HARD. It WILL get easier soon! She will start to sleep longer stretches really soon!

@Jeff14834 Take a look at our blog post on the time change which should give you some tips! In terms of the early mornings, it might take a few days to adjust. If he is happy in the crib, I'd leave him there until 6am if you can. If hes upset, i'd go get him.

Hi Dr. Barnett,
My son will be 9 months on Sunday. We finally have a pretty good sleep schedule down. He’s in bed between 8-8:30pm and wakes at 8am for the day with one waking around 4-5am for a feed. He takes 2 1-1.5 hour naps during the day at 11 and 3:30. He’s pretty flexible on the nap schedule if we’re out running errands for the day.
Any tips on how to adjust his schedule for daylight savings? Do you think the middle of the night feed is still necessary? If not, tips to help drop it. He is currently eating 2 meals and a snack a day and his bottle intake has slightly dropped as more solids are being added on but he’s still drinking 25oz of breast milk a day.

Hi @pgordillo I'd love to move him to three solid meals a day at this point. If he's getting everything he needs during the day he shouldn't need to eat at night now, assuming he is healthy and born on time. If you take a look at the Nanit 9 month sleep schedule, this should give you a good guide on feeding and sleeping times during the day. In terms of dropping the night feed, you can try gradually cutting down the oz he is getting in the bottle, reducing by an ounce every couple of days (at the same time as ramping up his food intake during the day), and then you can also try cutting the milk with water so he is gradually just getting water in the middle of the night. Once he is taking just 1 oz of water and no milk, you can be assured he is not waking because he is hungry, he is waking out of habit.
