First foods

Hi! My baby will be 16 weeks on Christmas.. I just started introducing oat cereal because he is such a snacker with the bottle (takes 5oz in one sitting only once a day). Is it too early for cereal? He’s trying to get the hang of it!

@DLymber It is recommended that babies do not start solids (including cereal) until at least 4 months. Bottles should not contain any food or cereal products. It is unclear from your question whether your baby is only drinking 5 ounces in a bottle each day. If this is the case and you are not breastfeeding around 8 times a day in addition to the 5 ounces then you should make an appointment with your pediatric primary care provider.
