Weaning

my 11 month old is eating 3 solid meals a day. But first thing in the morning he is very hungry and needs a bottle. How do we wean him from this first feeding. I am trying to wean him from breast milk by 13 months.

@Laura345 It is common for babies and toddlers to want breastmilk or formula before 12 months and milk after 12 months first thing in the morning. Introducing a sippy cup around 9 months can help with the process of weaning off of a bottle by the recommended time of 12 months. When your pediatric healthcare provider suggests starting to switch to whole milk then you can start to decrease the amount of breast milk and replace those ounces with milk gradually.
